It is our experience that a comfortable driver is a more positive and alert driver. So, we equip our drivers with the finest tractors and trailers that money can buy.
Our tractors come complete with features like air conditioning, cruise control, and stand-up sleepers. Our engines are powerful and able to tackle the most demanding terrain. Each tractor is equipped with air ride, providing a smoother ride and lessening the likelihood of cargo damage.
We also have Auxillary Power Units in our tractors to increase driver comfort while decreasing exhaust emmissions.
ALL REFRIGERATED TRAILERS ARE NOT CREATED EQUALLY.
At ARCTIC EXPRESS, we have our trailers built from the ground up, beginning with air ride suspensions. Air suspensions dramatically reduces the potential for cargo damage. In addition, they tend to balance and equalize the trailer load.
The construction and insulation of our trailers enables us to maintain temperatures anywhere from -20°F to +80°F. Doors are double sealed, preventing air leaks. Urethane insulation is injected between an inside fiberglass panel and an aluminum outer skin. Even the rivet heads are sealed with neoprene, eliminating the possibility of any water or air leaks. Once we've provided a smooth riding, weather tight fortress,
we add the latest in state-of-the-art refrigeration technology. This "reefer" technology eliminates top freezing
in produce as temperatures can be held to plus or minus one degree! We top this off with PSI auto-inflation for better fuel efficiency, lower exhaust emmissions, and less burden for the driver.
PINPOINT TRACKING ELIMINATES THE GUESS WORK.
Our headquarters, located in Hilliard, Ohio, is staffed with some of the most skilled fleet managers in the industry. They have at their disposal a tracking system that gives them instantaneous access to a specific unit's location and communication with the driver. You are always kept up-to-the-minute regarding the location and delivery of your merchandise. ARCTIC EXPRESS also has EDI interface capabilities for our customers who wish to utilize this service.
